The situation is not easy, and the concerns are real, but…

“Don’t you worry, لا تشلون هم” 

Simple words from UAE leaders, delivered with a calm, reassuring smile, bring a sense of peace that helps me sleep at night.

In tough times like these, people make different choices. Some leave, some pause, some wait to see what happens.

I chose to stay. Because the UAE is my home by choice in the last 16 years. 

Staying was a personal decision. But it was also a statement of trust and support. Every day I’m here, I’m supporting one person, one shop, one service, or one sector. That matters. 

Trust in a country that has earned respect through action.

Trust in leadership that understands both strength and restraint.

And trust that unity and faith in the future are stronger than fear.

We are all United Arab Emirates. It represents many of the values I hold dear, and I find them all around me. It represents ambition, tolerance, vision, stability, dignity, and the ability to move forward with resilience.

I fully agree with what my dear Emirati friend told me: “The UAE is not only a country, it’s a state of mind”.
